Pogba set to fly to Manchester today

Manchester United will complete the signing of Paul Pogba today, according to reports in Italy.

Calcio Mercato is reporting that the 23-year-old French midfielder is due to fly to Manchester today to complete a world record switch from Juventus.

United are set to pay a fee in the region of £100 million for the talented midfielder, with the player set to earn around £300,000 a week in the Premier League.

One of the final stumbling blocks to the deal was the fee being demanded by the player's agent Mino Raiola.

Raiola was due a 20 per cent cut of the transfer fee due to an agreement made when he brokered the deal that took Pogba to Juventus in 2012.

However, Juventus were reluctant to have Raiola's percentage come out of the fee they were to receive, and the Italian club were adament that United should pay the agent's fee.

But it now seems that that has been resolved, with Pogba set to fly to Manchester today, having finished off his holiday in America with a weekend in Las Vegas.

Pogba previously played for United but left the club as a teenager in 2012, having grown frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities he was afforded.

The player then joined Juventus where he has won four Serie A titles, as well as reaching the Champions League final in 2015.
