Lyon will sell Lacazette at right price

Lyon manager Bruno Genesio has admitted that Alexandre Lacazette could depart the club before the close of the transfer window. Arsenal are expected to come up with a fresh bid for the striker after their initial £30m offer was rejected.

The France international had captured the eye of top Premier League clubs last summer before he penned a four-year deal with the French outfit.

Lacazette followed to maintain his form through the previous campaign as his side finished runners-up to eventual champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The Gunners have been actively pursuing the 25-year-old this month, with a bid of around £30m being turned down earlier last week.

When asked on Lacazette's situation, Genesio hinted that the player could leave Les Gones, provided any club matches his valuation.

"He can leave if Lyon want him to," he told Sky Sports News.  "There are some offers that you cannot refuse."

"I have been assured by my president that we will keep the player. You never know what could happen right up until August 31."

Lyon currently rate Lacazette at £40m, and they could do business with Arsenal if they are to meet his asking price.
