Arsenal on brink of Shkodran Mustafi signing

Mustafi to Arsenal Almost Done !

Arsenal are expected to complete the much-awaited transfer of Shkodran Mustafi with Valencia owner Peter Lim having flown to London to settle an agreement.

Spanish source Plaza Deportiva claims that the Gunners will finalize the German's arrival this week after Lim decided to take matters into his own hands.

The Gunners have already agreed a five-year contract with the World Cup winner on wages worth £75,000-a-week, and it remains for both parties to negotiate a transfer sum.

Mustafi currently has a £42m escape clause in his contract, but the Mestalla outfit are willing to accept something around £30m, given they are not in the Champions League this season.

Since joining from Sampdoria in 2014, the 24-year-old has amassed 78 appearances in all competitions for Valencia.

Meanwhile, Valencia have earmarked Manchester City's Eliaquim Mangala as a potential replacement for their defender.
