Romelu Lukaku reveals Juventus snub
Belgian international Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he snubbed advances from Juventus to remain at Goodison Park this summer. The 23-year-old was previously on the radar of former club Chelsea.
Lukaku, who netted 25 goals in all competitions last season, had iterated his desire to join a top European club just prior to Euro 2016.
However, after watching manager Ronald Koeman go through his transfer business for the summer, he opted to commit his immediate future to the Toffees.
The striker has now claimed that the Old Lady were on the running for his services, but a move to Serie A would have been too early, given he is just in the early years of his career.
Lukaku has yet to open goalscoring account for Everton this term partly due to a minor niggle which has hampered his progress.
