United prepared to extend Ibra's stay further

Manchester United are prepared to offer a fresh three-year contract to Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he impressed in the opening stages of the Premier League campaign. The Swede joined the Red Devils on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain over the summer.

Ibrahimovic. 34, was the subject of interest from the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal in the transfer window, but it was a move to United which appealed him the most due to his close relationship with Jose Mourinho.

The veteran striker has made a great start to his Premier League career netting four goals in as many games and this has urged the Red Devils to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.

Widespread sources suggest that Ibrahimovic will be offered a further two year extension to his initial contract which was due to expire at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Ibrahimovic has thus far started in all of United's games, and signs are he would be the first-choice marksman, so long as he can keep up with his fitness levels.
