West Ham to terminate Zaza contract?
West Ham United could be tempted to terminate the contract of Simone Zaza in order to save themselves from paying a hefty fee for his services. The Italy international joined the Hammers on an initial £4.3m loan from Juventus with a view to a permanent switch, should he make the stipulated amount of appearances.
According to a report from Calciomercato, the Hammers are considering the option of sending Zaza back to Turin after he failed to make a mark in the opening stages of the campaign.
It is added that the Hammers would have to cough up a fee of around £20m, if the player is to make 15 appearances, and this is something they would like to avoid, given the striker has yet to open his goalscoring account.
Zaza has appeared in four outings for Slaven Bilic's side, who are lingering in the Premier League drop zone.
