Arsenal weigh up Dembele move
Arsenal are considering a move for Celtic’s Champions League hero Moussa Sissoko, after the young striker bagged a brace in Wednesday’s draw with Manchester City at Celtic Park, according to reports.
The Sun is reporting that, after having missed out on capturing the 20-year-old when he left Fulham in the summer, Arsenal manager Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to launch a bid to sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic.
The France under 20 international has enjoyed a flying start to life in Scotland, having already scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for the Hoops, including a hat trick in the first Old Firm derby of the season against bitter Glasgow rivals Rangers.
And his performances have caught the attention of many scouts from top level clubs, with both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich said to be monitoring his progress, along with the Gunners.
Dembele moved to Celtic in the summer after his contract with Championship side Fulham had expired.
Thanks to his impressive return of 15 goals in the English second tier last season, Dembele found himself in high demand.
The youngster was linked with moves to a host of top clubs, but it was Celtic who ultimately won the race for his signature.
The way Dembele has performed after his step up in competition to Champions League football, if Celtic were to sell him next summer, they would make a healthy return.
