Atletico Madrid eye Cazorla deal
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have held initial discussions with the agent of Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla. The 31-year-old is free to sign a pre-contract with a club overseas in January.
Cazorla is approaching the final six months of his Gunners deal, and talks over a possible extension are yet to resume.
Fichajes.net says Atleti are making the moves to land the former Malaga man with the Gunners hesitant to negotiate terms over a fresh contract.
The Spain international has previously indicated that he would love to remain at the Emirates, and it will be upto the Gunners' hierarchy to decide where the player's future lies next summer.
Despite suffering a nasty knee problem last term. Cazorla has come with a renewed vigour this season, netting two goals and two assists in the Premier League.
Cazorla has appeared in over 175 games for Arsenal since arriving from Malaga in the summer of 2012.
