Arsenal and Liverpool could swoop for unsettled teenage prodigy
Teenage French sensation Kylian Mbappe could be set to leave Monaco, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus all interested in the gifted youngster, according to reports in France.
French sports newspaper L’Equipe is reporting that 17-year-old Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe could be considering his future at Monaco, as his father recently expressed concerns at the lack of playing time he has been afforded so far this season.
Mbappe, who is regarded as one of the most promising young players in Europe, recently signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 sign. But, according to his father, he signed the new deal based on the promise of regular first team involvement.
The France under-19 international has only played 73 minutes of Ligue 1 football so far this season, and the player feels the assurances he was given when signing his new contract have not been lived up to.
Arsenal are known to have scouted the player in recent months and have been very impressed with what they have seen, while Liverpool and Juventus are also known to be interested.
Mbappe starred for France in Les Bleus’ European under-19 Championship win in Germany this summer, and is tipped to reach the very top of the game if he is able to fully realise his immense potential.
Monaco are currently second in the French top flight, one point behind league leaders Nice.
