Chelsea to beat Liverpool to Porto sensation

Chelsea have been tipped to beat Liverpool in the chase to sign FC Porto midfielder Ruben Neves. The Portugal international has made a bright start to the new campaign, and this has captured the eye of Blues scouts.

The 19-year-old, who graduated through the Dragon's youth system, has established himself as a regular at the Primeira Liga giants.

According to reports in Portugal, the Blues have a slight advantage in the pursuit of Neves with Antonio Conte willing to give a chance to youngsters in the first-team.

Neves has adopted well in the holding midfield role at Porto, and Conte sees him as a potential candidate to accompany N'Golo Kante in the centre of the park.

The midfielder has featured for Portugal at all youth levels, and it is only a matter of time before he becomes a regular with the senior squad. He has earned two caps with his national side till date.
