Pedro speaks out on Barca link
Chelsea attacker Pedro has admitted that he considered a return to Barcelona during the summer transfer window. The Spain international was linked with a possible move back to Camp Nou after he struggled in his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old, who graduated through the La Masia academy, had a tough campaign at Chelsea last term as they finished a lowly tenth in the league.
While speaking to radio station RAC-1, the World Cup winner admitted that there were discussions with Barca president Josep Bartmeu over a comeback, but a move just could not happen.
"I spoke to [Barcelona president Josep Maria] Bartomeu and it looked as though I'd return to Barcelona last summer, but I think the talks were given more importance than they really had." he told the source.
Pedro made his 51st appearance for Chelsea in midweek as they lost out to West Ham United by a 2-1 scoreline in the EFL Cup.
