Diego Costa set for new Chelsea contract?
Chelsea will reportedly offer a fresh deal to Diego Costa in order to sway away interest from former club Atletico Madrid. The Spain international has been key to the Blues' fine start to the Premier League campaign.
Costa, 28, had netted an average tally of 12 goals in the league last term, and this led to suggestions he could head back to Atleti in the summer.
However, the Blues managed to convince Costa to stay put at Stamford Bridge, and this has paid dividends with the striker managing to net nine times in 11 league outings this season.
According to The Mirror, Conte's side will seek to commit their marksman on a new contract despite him having more than two years left on his present deal.
Costa's brilliant form up front has guided Chelsea to second in the league standings, just a point behind Liverpool.
