Barca lead Lichtsteiner chase

Barcelona are one among the favourites to sign Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner in the winter transfer window. The Swiss international has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus since Dani Alves' arrival from Camp Nou in the summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Catalan giants are preparing a cut-price deal for Lichsteiner, with Aleix Vidal tipped to leave the club in January.

Lichtsteiner has been playing back-up to the likes of Alves and Juan Cuadrado for the right wing-back position, and he is now prepared to move to a fresh club where his experience would be valued.

Serie A duo Inter Milan and AC Milan are also in contention for the Swiss international, who has won five successive league titles in his Turin stay.

Juventus will demand fees of around £3m in order to let go of the 32-year-old in the New Year.
