Villas-Boas eyeing John Terry reunion

Terry could move to China this winter

Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to lure Chelsea skipper John Terry to China following his appointment as the new manager of Shanghai SIPG.

The Portuguese took over the reigns from Sven-Goran Eriksson, who was dismissed after his failure to guide the side to the Chinese Super League title.

According to The Mirror, Villas-Boas will look at the possibility of reuniting with Terry, who has been frozen out at Stamford Bridge in recent months.

Terry, 35, has failed to start a league game under Antonio Conte since his early season injury, and there are suggestions his Blues career could be up.

The veteran is contracted to Chelsea until the summer of 2017, but the prospect of a lucrative move to China could be a tempting prospect in the New Year.

Terry has managed an incredible tally of 710 games for Chelsea since graduating from the youth system in the 1998-99 season.
