Inter Milan deny Costa link
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has dismissed the club's chances of signing Chelsea striker Diego Costa in the January transfer window.
The Spain international had been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer with former side Atletico Madrid being his preferred destination.
However, manager Antonio Conte managed to convince the player to stay put with the Blues which has in turn helped the side reach the top of the Premier League summit.
Recent speculation suggested that the Nerazzurri could plot a £50m raid for the Brazilian-born striker following their dismal start to the Serie A season.
However, Ausilio has dismissed the 'absurd' reports by claiming that his side have a very strong striker in Mauro Icardi to depend on, and they would rather seek to strengthen options in other areas.
Despite strong criticism from club's faithful, Icardi has managed to net 12 goals in 14 league outings for Inter Milan this term.
