Arsenal monitoring Frank Lampard?

Arsenal are surprise candidates to sign veteran midfielder Frank Lampard until the end of the season. The New York FC player could join the Gunners on loan in the January transfer window.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed a surprise interest in the former Chelsea man as the French coach looks to bolster his squad for the second half of the league season. Arsenal are still in the race for the Premier League title but are desperate to bring in further experience as manager Arsene Wenger has admitted the club are a little short in the midfield department in recent weeks. Lampard is convinced that he could still do a job in England at the very highest level and is hopeful a five month loan deal can be agreed in the coming weeks.
