West Brom to fail in Delph pursuit?
West Bromwich Albion have been told to forget about the signing of Fabian Delph this month. Manchester City will keep hold of the midfielder for the ongoing campaign.
The 27-year-old has been more of a squad player at the Etihad since arriving from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015.
Both West Brom and former side Villa are said to have enquired over the Delph's availability, but according to The Birmingham Mail, the pair are set to face defeat in their pursuit of the player.
Despite making his last appearance in August, Delph remains a crucial part of Pep Guardiola's plans as he seeks to overcome the absence of both Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho.
Gundogan has been ruled out for the campaign with a knee problem whilst Fernandinho is serving his four-match suspension, having received his second red card of the league season.
