Atletico Madrid eye Arsenal ace as Griezmann replacement

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are prepared to lure Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez on a bumper package, should Antoine Griezmann leave the club at the end of the season.

Griezmann is currently the subject of strong interest from Manchester United whilst there is also the probability that one of Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester City could jump forward for his services.

According to The Sun, Atleti are keeping a close watch on the Gunners' contract rebel with the departure of Griezmann looking more or less likely in the next transfer window.

Alexis is said to demand in excess of £220,000-a-week to stay put at the Emirates, and Diego Simeone's side would be willing to match his demands as they seek to find a potential replacement for Griezmann.

Atletico Madrid are currently facing a tough fight to secure a Champions League place for next season, and this could be one of the many reasons why Griezmann could part ways with the club in the summer.
