Asmir Begovic confirms Chelsea exit talk
Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has admitted that he would be leaving Stamford Bridge before tomorrow's transfer deadline.
The 29-year-old has been a regular for the Cup games this season, and this has not gone well with the former Stoke City man.
Bournemouth are said to have already finalized a £12m package for the player's transfer to Dean Court, but the move is being kept on hold as the Blues seek to find a suitable replacement.
In a report in The Mirror, Begovic has revealed his frustration at being left out of the bench and affirms that he wants to leave the club before the close of the winter transfer window.
"I'm wasted on the bench." he said. "I have spoken with the boss - we are quite open about it, he knows I am desperate to play, and that’s all it is really."
"If he can make it happen for me he will. That is something that is going to be sorted out in the next couple of days."
Begovic may have played his last game for Chelsea during their 4-0 triumph over Brentford in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
