Kone to join Crystal Palace

Everton forward Arouna Kone is set to join Crystal Palace this evening. The 33-year-old will be allowed to leave Everton in favour of a move to London.

Kone becomes Sam Allardyce's next January signing in a very busy transfer window. Kone had interest from abroad but was set on staying in England.

Kone has penned an 18 month contract with the Eagles, who beat Ipswich Town to his signing.
