French striker responds to Chelsea speculation
French footballer Moussa Dembele has dismissed suggestions over a move to Chelsea following his brilliant second-half hat-trick on Sunday.
The prolific striker put on a terrific show against St.Johnstone as his side came from 2-1 down to clinch a comfortable 5-2 victory in the second period.
The former Fulham striker was heavily linked with the Premier League leaders on deadline day with the Blues deemed to have enquired over his valuation.
However, the Hoops managed to keep hold of their striker after Brendan Rodgers was reluctant to take anything less than £40m for his star performer.
With already 23 goals and five assists this campaign, Dembele insists he is focused on his job at Parkhead and he is not interested in the speculation.
"I don’t really listen to what is being said about me I just keep my head down and keep working," he told reporters.
"I was out with my knee and just tried to get back as we quickly as I can.
"Yeah my future is here and I’m enjoying it."
Dembele could be expected to earn his first call-up with France in March after Didier Deschamps praised his abilities.
