Ex-Chelsea star could join Barcelona this month
Former Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa has emerged as a transfer target for Barcelona as they seek to resolve their right-back crisis.
The La Liga champions are on the search for a new right-sided defender after Aleix Vidal suffered a nasty knee injury in the 6-0 thumping over Alaves last weekend.
Under Spanish rules, the holders are allowed to sign any free agent or player registered to clubs in Spain outside of the regular transfer window.
Bosingwa has been out-of-contract since his release from Trabzonspor in the summer, and he could earn himself a stint with Barca, who are in need of a short-term replacement.
The 34-year-old is well known for his stint with Chelsea between 2008 and 2012 where he won the Premier League, three FA Cups and the prestigious Champions League title.
Meanwhile, Barcelona suffered a huge dent to their Champions League hopes last night after they were humbled by Paris Saint-Germain by a 4-0 scoreline in the Round of 16, first-leg.
