FA Cup Fifth Round: More Giant Killings On The Cards?

This year's FA Cup competition has not disappointed when it comes to giant killings, with several teams knocking out superior opponents, and there may be more to come.

The FA Cup has at all, on a regular basis pitting lowly clubs, with nothing but dreams, against the highest ranking clubs in the country, and allowing a real feel good story for the neutrals, as semi professional players step up against the players they aspire to be, and often come out on top. 

Some fear that the magic of the FA Cup may be coming to an end, as elite clubs decide to rest their best players, in preparation for the more lucrative competitions. This weekend provides several opportunities for giant killings, that can prove that the competition is as alive as ever. 

Burnley V Lincoln City: Burnley have played well the season, after winning promotion to the Premier League, particularly at home, having lost just three of their last 29 at Turf Moor. However, Lincoln have also be playing very well this year, sitting top of the National League and having won their last four coming into this. If Burnley dont perform, Lincoln could definitely cause a shock.

Sutton United V Arsenal: It has been a bad week for Arsenal, after that 5-1 Champions League defeat. The Gunners will be determined not to crash out of the FA Cup, and if Wenger is to leave, he would like to do so being a seven time FA Cup winner. However, Sutton have knocked several higher league teams out so far this season, and on their artificial pitch and compact stadium, anything is possible.

Middlesbrough V Oxford: As a Premier League team, 'Boro should be favourites for this. However, with a relegation battle looming in the league, they might field a weakened team. Oxford have been in great form in cup competitions this season, also reaching the semi-final of the EFL Cup. Oxford are definitely ones to watch.

Millwall V Leicester: What a difference a year makes for Leicester. This time last year they were competing for the title, now they are very much facing relegation. The league has to be their priority, however, Ranieri will be desperate to see his side win to try and build some momentum. League One Millwall is a difficult place to go, and things could go from bad to worse for the Foxes.
