BvB keen on Thomas Tuchel extension

BvB keen on Thomas Tuchel extension

Borussia Dortmund will reportedly end all speculation over Thomas Tuchel's future by offering him a fresh long-term contract.

The German coach was recently named as a potential contender for the Arsenal job before the 43-year-old himself dismissed the suggestion.

Tuchel's position has been under scrutiny in recent days with the club far off from leaders Bayern Munich while they trail Benfica by a 1-0 scoreline in the Champions League last 16.

However, BvB chief Hans-Joachim Watzke insists the club are satisfied with the way Tuchel has been performing, and they are likely to extend his contract at the end of the campaign.

Tuchel, who has less than 16 months on his contract, has seen his side win just three of the last eight outings in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund still face huge competition to secure their Champions League spot for next season with the likes of Hoffenheim, Eintracht Frankfurt, Hertha Berlin and Koln all within reach of the top four.
