Rooney wants CSL move?

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney could reportedly complete his move to China ahead of next week's transfer deadline.

The Chinese Super League window is due to close at the end of February, and this appears to have urged the England international to push through an Old Trafford exit.

A report from The Mail cites that the 31-year-old could leave the Red Devils midway through the campaign with the prospect of earning a bumper wage package in the Far East.

Rooney's representative Paul Stretford is said to have flown to Beijing earlier in the week, and he is expected to hold talks with interested clients before the end of the month.

The veteran has struggled to cement a regular role in the starting lineup this term, but this has had no effect on the Chinese clubs who are willing to offer as much as £600,000-a-week.

Rooney has netted exactly 250 goals for Manchester United since arriving from Everton as an 18-year-old in 2004.
