Chelsea remain keen on Craig Gordon
Premier League leaders Chelsea will make a fresh attempt to sign Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon in the summer transfer window.
The former Sunderland man was the subject of a £3.5m approach from the Blues last month with the club seeking to offload Asmir Begovic to league minnows Bournemouth.
However, the Hoops turned down advances from the west London outfit with the hope of convincing Gordon into inking a fresh contract at Parkhead.
According to The London Evening Standard, the Blues will return for the 34-year-old in the summer with Begovic still keen on leaving Stamford Bridge.
Gordon has, for now, stalled on talks over a fresh contract, and it is understood that Celtic could accept his sale for at least twice the sum the Blues had previously tabled.
The veteran has clearly established himself as the number one at the Scottish champions following a period where he struggled with a series of knee injuries.
