AS Roma ready to buy Kurt Zouma?
Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has emerged as a top target for AS Roma ahead of the summer transfer window. The France international has been a regular on the bench in recent months.
Zouma, 22, has struggled to retain a spot in the starting lineup ever since his recovery from a nasty knee injury sustained against Manchester United 12 months ago.
The Frenchman has made yet to earn a start in the Premier League, and his uncertain future appears to have captured the attention of Roma, The Mirror reports.
The Giallorossi are currently assessing the situation of Kostas Manolas, who has declined a fresh contract, and they could be tempted to sell in order to compensate for the arrival of Zouma.
Zouma has previously iterated that he is content at Stamford Bridge, but the lack of playing time could force him to look elsewhere as he dreams of making the France team for the 2018 World Cup.
The former Saint-Etienne has managed just two substitute league appearances despite being a regular starter in the FA Cup.
