Lukaku's Agent Reveals Star's Future

Big news has come out of Goodison Park this morning, as the agent of star Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed where his future lies. The Belgian has been in fantastic form this year, sitting joint top of the Premier league scoring chart, with seventeen goals. 

Many expected Lukaku to leave Everton last summer, when a host of big clubs were reportedly interested, matched by the attacker's desire to play Champions League football. The arrival of Ronald Koeman at the club and his ambitions to push the club forward were enough to hold on to the talisman, but it was expected he would still eventually leave.

Former club Chelsea were the favourites to resign Lukaku if he was to leave Everton, however, speaking to talkSport today, Lukaku's agent confirmed he would sign a new contract with Everton, with the deal being "99.9999999 percent" done. This will come as a great relief to Everton fans, as they will have been worried about losing their star player, and even if he does leave now, a new deal will assure it is for a large fee.

Everton's ambition for Champions League football continues, with their victory over Sunderland at the weekend moving them just six points off a top four place.
