City's title hopes take a big hit
Manchester City's small hopes of beating Chelsea to the Premier League title took a blow on Wednesday night, as they were held to a goalless draw by Stoke City at the Etihad.
City came into this game in good form, having found some themselves scoring freely in recent games. In the build up to the game, manager Pep Guardiola admitted that his side could not afford any further slip ups if they were to win the title.
Stoke City put in a resilient defensive performance, frustrating the home side, who never really got into their attacking flow. Despite having 65 percent of the possession, Manchester City managed just one shot on target.
With eleven games remaining, Manchester City's hopes of winning the Premier League appear to be over, as they sit ten points behind Chelsea. Their two other opportunities to win silverware continue within the next week, as they face Middlesbrough in the FA Cup, before travelling to Monaco in the Champions League.
