Slaven Bilic future put on hold

Bilic not yet guaranteed a contract extension

West Ham United will decide on the future of manager Slaven Bilic at the end of the season despite the club's recent rise up the table.

The Hammers had gone through a rough patch during the start of the campaign which had brought questions over Bilic's position.

Bilic had since managed to steady the ship at the east London club, who have earned key victories to propel them up to 11th in the league standings.

Talks over a possible extension for Bilic had intensified over the past week, but according to The Mirror, the Croatian still faces an uncertain future this summer.

The Hammers hierarchy had expected the popular manager to at least match the performance of last season, but it appears that the club will fall short of their expectations this term.

Bilic's current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2018, and there could yet to be the possibility of a new manager at the helm with former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini in preference of a move to the English capital.
