Djibril Sidibe could join one of Europe's elite
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has praised Djibril Sidibe's impact at the club after having snubbed Arsenal last summer.
The full-back turned down advances from the Gunners last year for a move to the Principality outfit and has since been called up to the French national team.
Sidibe has put up impressive performances for Monaco during the campaign, and his tally of three goals and five assists have helped his side gain a three-point advantage at the top of Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old has been linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea in recent weeks, and Vasilyev feels that the right-back will take up the chance with a top European club sooner rather than later.
He told RMC: "That is part of life as a turn-over club.
"That some players come in and go out, that is part of our project.
"Djibril Sidibé preferred Monaco to Arsenal, now he is in the French national team, and he can join the top European clubs. He deserves it."
Sidibe was recently part on the Monaco side which qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after they trumped Manchester City by the away-goal rule in the Round of 16.
