Iheanacho should switch clubs this summer - Advisor

Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho should pursue a fresh challenge away from Manchester City at the end of the season, according to the player's advisor.

The 20-year-old has managed just eight starts out of 26 appearances for City this season while managing seven goals in the process.

Iheanacho had earned his chance to impress during the early stages of the campaign, but he has since been ignored for the starting lineup with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero ahead of him in the pecking order.

Olumide Olowu, who acts as an advisor to the Nigerian, feels that the striker should move on to a new club where his potential is valued.

"Guardiola seems to have his own players that he wants to play and you can't expect a young player with huge potential to be wasting away on the bench," he toldĀ Completesportnigeria.

"I'm not speaking for Iheanacho, but as someone who is involved in advising him, I don't think he has been treated fairly by Guardiola and I think his career will be better elsewhere."

Iheanacho has earned less than 25 minutes of Premier League action since the start of April, and he could miss out on the starting lineup versus Crystal Palace with Jesus set to get the nod for the centre-forward role.
