Gareth Bale would consider Manchester United or Chelsea move

Gareth Bale news

Bale's injuries have meant it has been a frustrating season for him at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has told his agent that he would be happy to consider a move to four of Europe's biggest clubs, after his future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been put in doubt due to his injury problems.

Wales captain Bale has struggled to get a good run of form this season, with a number of injuries seeing him unavailable for selection for the majority of the campaign. Although he is a player that the fans have taken a liking to, his future in the Spanish capital may be in doubt due to those injuries.

Don Balon has reported today that Bale has spoken to his agent and provided a shortlist of teams that he would consider a transfer to, should Real Madrid show him the exit door.

Two of those teams are from the Premier League, in the form of Manchester United and Chelsea. United have shown interest in Bale several times in the past, but a deal has never been agreed so far. Should Chelsea lose key man Eden Hazard to Bale's current team in the summer, they may see the Welsh winger as a suitable replacement.

The other two teams on Bale's shortlist, according to the report, are Paris Saint Germain of Ligue 1 and Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga. If a move is to become reality, it would depend on whether Bale would like to return to the familiarity of the Premier League, or add another new league to his career record. One thing for sure is that Bale will want to be playing Champions League football, something that Manchester United have not yet guaranteed.
