Man Utd, AC Milan to vie for Aubameyang?

Manchester United could potentially compete with AC Milan in the pursuit to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer.

The Gabon international has been pulling the strings upfront on a consistent basis for BvB in recent seasons, and he is now prepared to move on to a fresh club.

According to The Sun, the marksman has been alerted by United officials, who has him in their transfer shortlist behind top target Antoine Griezmann.

Griezmann currently has an £85m release clause in his Atletico Madrid contract, and it is suggested that the Red Devils will seek to trigger his clause, once they attain Champions League qualification.

United face Ajax in the Europa League final later this month, and a victory guarantees them a spot in Europe's prime competition next season.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang is also the subject of interest from former club AC Milan, who are planning a potential spending spree under their new Chinese owners.

The former Saint-Etienne man has netted 37 goals in 44 appearances for Borussia Dortmund across all competitions this season.
