Zabaleta could extend EPL stay with new club

Argentina international Pablo Zabaleta has revealed his intention to stay put in the Premier League once his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer.

The 32-year-old is due to part ways with the Citizens in the off-season, ending his nine-year association with the club where he has lifted two Premier League titles.

Zabaleta has been widely tipped to join London club West Ham United in the summer, but it is understood that he has other offers from Spain and Italy to consider ahead of his final hurrah in the game.

"I would not be the first to leave a club after so many years and come back in a different shirt," he told BBC Sport. "It is time to move on. I am not getting any younger but I can play for two more years and have got offers from different countries."

Zabaleta has made a total of 333 appearances for the Mancunian giants since arriving from Espanyol for £6.5m nine years ago. He is in line to start his final game for City when they take on Watford in the last Premier League clash of the season.
