Hazard set for bumper extension at Chelsea

Premier League holders Chelsea are willing to discuss a new long-term contract Eden Hazard amid the ongoing links with Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has managed to shred off his last season's form into to guide the Blues to their fifth Premier League title this term.

Hazard has amassed 15 goals and five assists during the Premier League campaign, and this is a massive improvement on his previous season's record of four goals and three assists.

European champions Real Madrid have been touted as a potential destination for Hazard in the summer, and it is understood that Los Blancos could stump up a world-record bid to land his signature.

In order to avoid such a situation, the Blues' hierarchy are willing to offer Hazard with a £300,000 weekly wage which will make him one of the Premier League's highest earners.

Hazard has been a key performer in the Blues' 3-4-3 setup this season, and the club will promise to make him the focal point of their attack in order to convince him to sign an extension.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are also in a similar discussion with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who has made crucial saves throughout his side's victorious league campaign.
