West Ham plan part-exchange deal for Pickford
West Ham United are hoping to compete with Everton for the signature of Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in the summer.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic struggled to decide on his number one role during the 2016/17 season as he offered opportunities to both Adrian and Darren Randolph in goal.
Bilic has continuously stressed that the club are not in need of an addition between the sticks, but according to The Sun, the Hammers could lodge an ambitious attempt to sign Pickford this summer.
The 23-year-old had been the standout performer for the Black Cats during the recently concluded season, and his performance in the 2-0 loss to Arsenal showcased his excellent awareness.
As per The Sun, the Hammers could be willing to part with Adrian - who recently earned a year's extension, in order to sign Pickford on a £26m deal this summer.
Everton are still expected to offer strong competition in the player's pursuit with Ronald Koeman likely to negotiate a straight cash deal for the highly-rated Englishman.
Pickford earned his first England call-up during the 2016/17 season, and he will be desperate to feature for a top-flight club in order to improve his chances of making the World Cup squad in 2018.
