Diego Costa pledges his future to Chelsea
The Spanish international has come on record to pledge his future to Chelsea amidst strong reports linking him to China.
Diego Costa had another prolific campaign for Chelsea, matching his debut season for the club by scoring 21 goals in all competitions but reports emerged in the course of the season linking the Spaniard to the Chinese Super League, most notably Tianjin Quanjian.
Speculations still linked the Spaniard to China even after Tianjin Quanjian released an official statement on the club's website denying those reports.
However, Diego Costa came out to quell those rumours himself and pledged his future to Chelsea while stating his intentions should he leave in the future.
Speaking after the 2-1 FA Cup final loss to Arsenal, in which Costa scored for the Blues, he was quoted by Sky Sports as saying: "I have a contract and no intention of leaving,"
"[But] if the coach won't count on me anymore or is to give space for another striker, I know that I'll have to leave."
Costa also revealed his preferred club should he leave Stamford Bridge, "I will only leave Chelsea for Atletico. If not, I will stay here. I'm not interested in other clubs."
