Chelsea striker hints at loan exit
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi hints that he could pursue a temporary spell away from Stamford Bridge, should his opportunities be limited next season.
The 23-year-old was a regular on the substitutes' bench in the 2016/17 season with manager Antonio Conte allotting Diego Costa the centre-forward position.
Batshuayi only earned his first league start in the penultimate game of the campaign, but he managed to bag four goals in his final three appearances.
Monaco, West Ham and Newcastle United have been touted as potential destinations for the marksman ahead of the summer, and Batshuayi admits he will obey the Blues' wishes next season.
"Honestly, I'm not trying to think too much [about my future]," he told Belgian publication Het Nieuwsblad.
"I'm trying 200 percent. After that it will up to the board and the coach to make a decision. I'm a player and I'll go wherever Chelsea sends me."
Despite his restricted playing time, Batshuayi managed to attain the highlight moment of the campaign after he clinched the Premier League winner in the 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion.
With the World Cup coming along next year, Batshuayi would be eager to earn regular first-team football, and this could, in turn, urge Chelsea to loan him out in order to further his development.
