Dubravka on his way to Celtic?

With Newcastle United chasing Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, the future for Slovak shot stopper Martin Dubravka remains unclear. It is believed that Celtic are ready to end Dubravka's St James' Park stay with a bid of around £3.5 million on the way.

35-year-old Dubravka has been earmarked as a successor to the outgoing Joe Hart, and the keeper, who played 140 times in the league for the Toon Army, is said to be keen on one final move. Moving north of the border would guarantee a regular starting berth. Dubravka arrived at Newcastle from Sparta Prague in 2018 and is considered somewhat of a late bloomer.

He had to fill in for Nick Pope last season in the Premier League after an injury derailed Pope's campaign.

There appears to be some concern over the severity of Pope's injury though, and the possible arrival of Aaron Ramsdale to replace Pope indicates that Newcastle United are thinking of alternatives already.

Ramsdale is free to leave Arsenal for a reported transfer fee of £30 million.
