Radamel Falcao keen on Monaco stay
Colombia international Radamel Falcao has hinted that he could stay put at Monaco for the final year of his contract.
The 31-year-old endured tough loan spells with Manchester United and Chelsea in the past two years before returning to his parent club last summer.
Falcao has managed to regain his old self which made him a deadly prospect in European football, and he is now committed to the club's cause following a 30-goal season.
The Principality outfit have already lost a key player in Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, but Falcao has stressed that he will remain at Stade Louis II for next season, unless the club have other plans in mind.
"I am really happy here and I want to stay here because I have one year left on my contract," he told Canal+.
"Staying at Monaco is something that does not depend on me. My intentions are clear, but the board has the final word."
Falcao put in a brilliant display as the club's captain in the 2016/17 season as he guided Monaco to their first-ever Ligue 1 title since the millennium.
The Colombian is back in the reckoning for the national team ahead of next year's World Cup, and he is well aware that the failure to adjust at a fresh club could hinder his selection altogether.
