Ander Herrera has made his Barcelona decision
Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera will reportedly knock back advances from Barcelona in order to pen a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old was named the club's Player of the Season after he put in a real shift at the heart of the midfield alongside veteran Michael Carrick.
According to The Times, Herrera will end all speculation over his future by extending his Red Devils stay beyond the summer of 2018.
Herrera had been in-and-out of the first-team over the past few seasons, but he has found himself a regular place under Jose Mourinho, who had backed his abilities.
The former Basque player earned his long-awaited Spain debut earlier in the season after he finally realised his full potential with the Mancunian giants.
Barcelona are on the search for a long-term replacement for World Cup winner Andres Iniesta, but it appears that they may have to look elsewhere with Herrera committed to the United cause.
