Sevilla to battle with Deportivo for Arsenal forward
La Liga giants Sevilla are plotting an attempt to sign Arsenal forward Lucas Perez from the clutches of Deportivo La Coruna.
The Spanish footballer is weighing up his options for the summer after having started just two league games under the guidance of Arsene Wenger this term.
According to The Sun, Depor have already begun discussions with the Gunners over a potential return for Perez, but they could yet face competition from Sevilla.
Perez made the switch to the north London club last summer with a view to pushing for a place in the Spain national side.
However, the 28-year-old barely featured for the club across all competitions, and he is now in a situation where he could fail to realise his World Cup dream altogether.
Despite his limited action, Arsene Wenger has stressed his desire to keep hold of the winger, who has sustained niggling injuries in his maiden Premier League season.
Perez notched seven goals and six assists in 21 outings for the FA Cup holders during the 2016/17 campaign.
