Spurs want Xabi Alonso

Tottenham are reportedly considering a summer move for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso who has become increasingly frustrated with lack of opportunity at Spurs. Valencia are also keen on signing the Spanish midfielder.

The Spanish international has found the last six or seven months at Anfield tough, what with the arrival of Javier Mascherano in the Liverpool midfield.

The player is said to be growing deeply frustarted at the current situation and this could lead to his departure from Rafa Benitez' side in the summer with Juande Ramos supposedly very keen on the player.
