Nigeria international Ahmed Musa have decided to cut his ties with Leicester City just a year after his arrival from CSKA Moscow for a then club-record fee of £16.6m.

The 24,year-old, who happens to be a lifelong Arsenal fan, showed tremendous signs of progress in pre-season last year as he bagged a brace in the defeat to Barcelona.

However, he has not lived to his expectations since then with just four goals to his name across all competitions for the east Midlands club.

Musa bagged only two goals during his maiden Premier League, both of them in October, and he has since struggled to adapt to the English game.

According to The Sun, the Foxes have opted to cash in on their attacker with manager Craig Shakespeare looking to rebuild the squad after agreeing to take permanent charge on a three-year contract.

The former Premier League holders plan to make a minor profit from the player's sale to Fenerbahce with a £17.4m agreed for his proposed sale.

The Istanbul outfit have made their intentions clear in the transfer market after having also agreed a deal in principle to Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
