West Ham want Chelsea striker, not Batshuayi
West Ham United are plotting an attempt to sign Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore following his impressive loan stint with Ajax last season.
The Burkina Faso international enjoyed a fruitful spell with the Amsterdam outfit last term as he bagged 14 goals across all competitions.
According to The Mirror, the Hammers are looking into a possible loan deal for Traore with the option to buy, should the Blues willing to offload their marksman.
Traore is currently valued at around £17m by the east London club, but their move could yet be scuppered by Everton, who want the striker in a part exchange deal for Romelu Lukaku.
The 21-year-old has not quite got a regular run-in in the Blues first-team, and his future appears bleak next season with Michy Batshuayi likely to be preferred ahead of him in the pecking order.
A temporary deal looks the best option for the highly-rated attacker, but Ronald Koeman's side are planning to take him as a makeweight for Lukaku.
Traore appeared in 16 outings for Chelsea during an average 2015/16 campaign where he notched four goals in the process.
