Matt Ryan nearing Brighton transfer
Valencia goalkeeper Mat Ryan is reportedly on the cusp of joining Brighton & Hove Albion ahead of their maiden Premier League campaign next term.
Chris Hughes' side were hot on the trail of the Australia international earlier in the month after they were impressed by his loan stint with Genk in the second half of last season
According to Sky Sports News, the clubs have reached an agreement over a transfer fee for the goalkeeper, who could get his first taste of English football.
The 25-year-old joined Los Che from Club Brugge in the summer of 2015, but he has since made just 10 appearances in the Spanish La Liga.
Ryan could be tipped to take over the number role at the AmEx Stadium with promotion hero David Stockdale reluctant to pen a fresh contract beyond the summer.
Stockdale is seemingly eyeing the backup role at holders Chelsea, while he could also link up with a fellow relegation rival next season.
