Antonio Conte close to new Chelsea deal
Italian coach Antonio Conte is set to end speculation over his Chelsea future by penning a new long-term deal in the coming days.
The 47-year-old enjoyed success in his first season in English management after he guided the Blues to their fifth league title in the Premier League era.
Despite this, there had been suggestions that Conte could part ways with the west London club following a dispute over the transfer budget for the summer.
According to Sky Sports News, Conte will earn wages of around £9.5m and £10m a year, should he agree to a new deal beyond 2019.
Conte's wife and daughter are prepared to shift to the English capital this summer once he puts pen to paper on another lengthy contract at Stamford Bridge.
The former Juventus boss had been linked with a lucrative return to the Serie A with Inter Milan last month, but Conte brushed off the speculation by iterating his commitment towards Chelsea.
