Arsenal favourites to sign Arda Turan?

Arsenal are reportedly in the driving seat to sign Arda Turan, who is deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona.

The Turkish footballer was restricted to just 14 La Liga starts last term as he struggled to dislodge the impressive trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar up front.

According to AMK, the 30-year-old has been told to find a fresh club this summer with manager Ernesto Valverde looking to add more funds to his transfer kitty.

Turan's representative Ahmet Bulut had previously suggested that his client would honour the remainder three years of his Barca contract, but this does not appear to be the case anymore.

The former Atleti star is said to have already bought a house in the English capital, and the Gunners will seek to lure him in a potential deal which could cost around £26m.

Arsene Wenger has made a solitary signing for the summer with Sead Kolasinac having arrived from Schalke on a free transfer.
