Frank De Boer set for Crystal Palace crunch talks
Dutch coach Frank De Boer is to hold crisis talks with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish after a dismal start to their Premier League season. Palace has failed to win a game so far this campaign with three matches played.
De Boer is to meet with Parish this afternoon to hold crunch talks and will discuss transfer targets as well as recent performances. The Eagles have reportedly agreed on a move that will see England international Andros Townsend depart and head for rivals Leicester City on a four-year contract.
Steve Parish is concerned that De Boer has attempted to adopt a possession-based football style as opposed to a more offensive approach. The Eagles boast a strong attack and Parish is worried that De Boer is not adopting the correct style for the club's squad of players.
De Boer put pen to paper on a contract with Palace just two months ago and is not expected to be in any danger of losing his job just yet, but will be instructed that he must turn around performances quickly.
